Making a Difference
Kamp Kares is underwritten by the generous gifts of donors who pay for all camper fees.
- 8.7 Million children in the U.S. lives in a home with at least one parent who uses illicit drugs.
- 90% of people who have an addiction started to use drugs or alcohol before the age of 18.
- People who begin using addictive substances before the age of 15 are 7x more likely to develop a substance abuse problem than those who wait until the age of 21 for first use.
Our organization works to educate as well as offer essential support to individuals who have been affected by these issues, and provide them with the right environment to improve their life circumstances. Camps provide a unique learning environment for students, fostering personal growth and social development.
